Integrate with new services

The Services page has been renamed to the Integrations page. On the Integrations page, you now have the capability to integrate with the following services:

  • Integrate with TRIRIGA Application Suite to consolidate your location hierarchies and enable advanced IoT device monitoring and analytics. For detailed instructions, refer to the documentation on “Integrating with TRIRIGA Application Suite.”

  • Integrate with Cisco Webex to monitor space utilization within buildings. Learn more about this integration in the documentation on “Integrating with Cisco Webex.”

  • Integrate with Cisco Spaces to analyze movement and usage patterns across spaces, providing insights into utilization. For further details, consult the documentation on “Integrating with Cisco Spaces.”

Use a redesigned user interface for adding and managing devices

The user interface for adding and managing devices in Maximo Monitor has been redesigned. This update includes enhanced capabilities for completing device configuration, utilizing the device library, and associating devices with Maximo Monitor gateways.

Use the device library

Edge Data Collector has been integrated into Maximo Monitor as the device library. This integration streamlines the process of adding devices by consolidating it into a unified workflow within Maximo Monitor.

In the device library, you have access to manufacturer-specific devices that come pre-configured with default metrics and dimensions. When adding a device, you can select from these options, choose the desired metrics, and then complete the connection using the device’s authentication details.
For more detailed instructions on adding devices using the device library, please refer to the documentation on “Adding Devices” in Maximo Monitor.

To explore the full list of devices available in the library, you can perform a search within the device library interface.

Create gateways in Maximo Monitor

You can now create gateways in Maximo Monitor instead of in the IoT tool

Assign devices to a location or asset in a hierarchy

You can now directly assign devices to a location or asset in a hierarchy. On the Setup page, on the Hierarchies tab, for an asset or location, click the three-dot menu and then click Assign devices. Select the devices to assign and then click Save.

View data in Operational Dashboard

If Maximo Manage is integrated with Maximo Monitor, you can configure the following batch data metrics and add the data from the metrics to Operational Dashboard in Maximo Manage.

  • OccupancyCount
  • OccupancyDuration
  • OccupancyCountByBusinessUnit
  • OccupancyFrequencyRate
  • OccupancyRate
