Maximo Application Suite Overview
IBM Maximo Application Suite provides advanced AI-driven asset and analytics solutions tailored to meet enterprise needs.
The suite includes a comprehensive range of:
- Applications
- Industry-specific solutions
- Add-ons

Maximo Application Suite (MAS) includes IBM Cloud Pak for Data and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform for managing the deployment of containerized applications.
MAS can be deployed in two ways: IBM-managed or customer-managed installations. For customer-managed installations, the purchase of Maximo Application Suite includes subscription or perpetual licenses. For IBM-managed installations, Maximo Application Suite can be purchased as a Service or as a Dedicated option.
Application Points (AppPoints) are utilized to manage application usage, runtime, and user access for the suite’s applications, industry solutions, add-ons, and tools. Deployment and usage of these components are flexible, allowing customization based on specific needs and preferences.

Installing Maximo Application Suite
Before proceeding with the installation of Maximo Application (MAS) Suite, it is imperative to thoroughly review the Planning documentation. This step ensures that you understand the dependencies and prerequisites necessary for a successful installation.
Subsequently, delve into the Installing Maximo Application Suite documentation to familiarize yourself with the customer-managed scenarios, which encompass:
- On-premises installation of Maximo Application Suite
- Installation of Maximo Application Suite in an AirGap environment
- Deployment of Maximo Application Suite on Amazon Web Services

For IBM-managed installations, IBM handles the installation process, allowing you to proceed with post-installation tasks aimed at configuring Maximo.
Using Maximo Application Suite
After Maximo Application (MAS) Suite is installed, from the Suite administration page, you can use the product Catalog to configure and deploy applications, industry solutions, add-ons, and tools, administer your users, and more.
From the Suite administration page, you can manage users and their entitlement to Maximo Manage, request LDAP server authentication and user synchronization, and monitor application usage.
Use the Suite navigator and the app switcher in the menu bar to navigate between applications or to return to the Maximo Application Suite Suite navigator.
