Planning for installation and upgrade - Sterling Integrator

To install or upgrade IBM Sterling B2B Integrator you must have the appropriate hardware and software for the applications. Upgrading involves certain prerequisites that must be completed before you can upgrade.

The system requirements differ based on the mode of installation. The requirements for a docker installation are different from the requirements for an installation by using the IBM Installation Manager.

Review the following documents before you install or upgrade.

In the Server System Requirements, you can find the hardware and software requirements for the database, application, and other servers that are required for Sterling B2B Integrator.
If you are installing Sterling B2B Integrator by using the IBM Installation Manager, you must consider additional system requirements.
  • Additional requirements for Certified Container
You can deploy the Sterling B2B Integrator Certified Container on the following platforms.
  • License information
A separate license is required for each IBM Sterling B2B Integrator feature that you purchased. During installation, you must choose the license files according to what you purchased. Product licenses do not require an activation key.
  • Client system browser settings
For better visibility of the menu options in the Sterling B2B Integrator consoles, ensure that the dpi setting is 96 dpi.
  • Planning for installation
To install IBM Sterling B2B Integrator you must have the appropriate hardware and software for the applications.
  • Planning for upgrading
You can upgrade Sterling B2B Integrator on your existing systems or on new systems. Upgrading involves certain prerequisites that must be completed before you can upgrade.
